Job Duties:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons to students
Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
Create a stimulating and safe learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum
Participate in school events and parent-teacher meetings

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree in a relevant scientific field
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Science

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching science in a secondary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to inspire and motivate students
Strong classroom management abilities
Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Education
Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds

Working Conditions:

The Science Teacher will work in a school environment, following the academic calendar with regular school hours. The role may involve additional duties such as extracurricular activities and staff meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
