What you'll be doing;

Be the main Business Partner in respect of the MoD & TWM Scotland area of IWE North Region supporting the sub-regions General Manager and Operational Team.
Production of monthly management accounts and reports and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet items in respect of the sub region
Production of monthly consolidated forecast for the sub-region
Production and distribution of monthly consolidated regional financial results and reports
Supervision of one Assistant Management Accountant
Attendance at finance based regional meetings e.g P&L reviews, forecast reviews and budget reviews
Assistance and coordination of information flow in respect of annual statutory audit
Assisting in the preparation of 1 entity's Statutory Accounts
Assistance in the production of the 5-year rolling Financial Business Plan
Preparation of annual budget
The maintenance of several rolling models including Profit Share and Benchmarking ensuring all required criteria and deadlines are met and the appropriate information is shared internally with the client
Close working with Commercial Manager to identify and understand the Financial reporting requirements of the respective contracts and that the business is fully compliant with contractual obligations
Supervision of the production of monthly invoices and assisting credit control when required in securing payments
Produce financial analysis and propose actions to improve
Preparation of Financial Statements for Board meetings
Ensure optimum cash flow for business including efficient dividend payments and also ensuring impairment testing is done on a regular basis
Processing accounting transactions
Track contracts' financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
Maintain effective communication with commercial and operational colleagues, other parts of the business, clients and internal and external audit to sustain a high reputation for financial governance
Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation

What we're looking for;

Minimum 5 years post qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant QBE with good knowledge of accounting standards
Strong IT skills including Workday, Google Suite and Infor
Able to understand, question, organise and challenge a range of financial data
Excellent interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly with key stakeholders and operational management
Through effective communication skills, presents ideas and information in a way that creates a climate in which others are informed and want to participate
Self-motivated and confident, capable of working independently
Highly organised with a diligent and acute attention to detail
Able to meet tight deadlines
Management skills, create a team spirit, organised, structured and solution orientated
Be proactive and flexible in their approach
Offer a high level of commitment
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere
Permanent appointment to the role is dependent upon the candidate successfully obtaining a Full Security Clearance
