We are looking for a talented and ambitious Operations Manager / Head of Operations to join a rapidly growing business with a first-rate reputation in their sector. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Site Senior Leadership Team.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the day-to-day Operation of a busy Distribution Centre.
Drive continuous improvement across processes, workflow, inventory, and efficiency through the development and implementation of effective strategies.
Analyse and report on KPIs.
Monitor and maintain fulfilment performance metrics.
Set and communicate business expectations through weekly team meetings. Taking a lead role in hiring, developing, and managing staff (including performance management, disciplinaries, and one-on-one meetings).
Be target driven, setting and achieving daily / monthly business targets - providing clear reporting on progress.
Collaborate closely with other business functions to understand sales forecasts, staffing requirements, operational space, and technology needs for peak planning.
Maintain customer compliance and exceed customer expectations.
Strive for service excellence keeping the customer as the primary focus whilst ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Attend business meetings at all levels - serve as the direct Operations contact (both internally and externally).
The Ideal Candidate:

A proven track record in a similar role managing a warehouse or distribution centre.
Demonstrable experience in food and beverage import / distribution
Professional understanding of finance, supply chain, workflow and staff management,
First Class Leadership Skills and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational skills
The ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional listening skills.
PC literacy skills – MS Office, knowledge of SAP and warehouse management systems.
The ability to develop strategic plans to improve and optimise the operations department.
In return for meeting the above criteria you will be rewarded with a salary of £70-80K (dependant on skills and experience) plus car allowance, plus excellent bonus and other employee benefits.
