WHAT TO EXPECT 

The person in this role will have working at the forefront of the product creation team, responsibility of researching market intelligence, defining the product definition for the future vehicle. Working with sustainability team define and drive new technologies & attribute features for the group. Working closely with the technology areas and suppliers .Understanding the vision for technology to deliver against company’s visions.

Innovative mindset, leading the design and development of harmonised Climate systems solutions. Responsibility includes the integration of multiple interconnected components and all system interfaces for JLR vehicles products.

The person in this role as part of the Advanced Product creation team is required to deploy Climate technologies from core architectural designs into specific programmes. This role will require the necessary expertise, competence using methods defined by core Climate group to integrate to vehicle architectures.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Develop the Climate system concept design and lead the integration of new technologies, attribute features and component design concepts into the future JLR vehicle products.
Responsible for creating and managing technology/ product landscape by working with Technical specialist, SME’s and Attribute feature owners.
Collect market intelligence based on Climate - technology readiness, regulatory requirement &  market challenges faced and benchmark against other industry leaders to identify future opportunities.
To plan, coordinate and control the activities for a Climate group to achieve concept program gateways , working with internal & external stakeholders.
Lead lesson learnt events and drive the improvements to the product by implementing a strong continuous improvement/prevent recurrence mindset;  including definition of Failure mode avoidance. 

WHAT YOU NEED

Experience and knowledge in automotive domain
Good relevant experience working in a Systems Engineering environment (Automotive sector)
Experience in reading and  interpreting standards and regulation a must.
Experience of working in product research environment.
Good at market analyses and data acquisition
Analytical and problem solving skills using tools (eg. DFMEA, 8D)
Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
