Job Title: Production Team Leader
Location: Skelmanthorpe
Salary: £25-28k (DOE)
XCL Group are working alongside a growing manufacturing company based in Huddersfield, and they’re currently looking for a Production Team Leader, who can come in to support & lead the Technical Team.
The role is integral for ensuring that operations and production run smooth, focussing predominantly on increasing productivity and in doing so, help to develop team members skills.
Job Responsibilities:
* Daily control supervision, including downtime & shortages
* Distribute work load and split down tasks to push productivity
* Ensure expectations are communicated to the whole team – enforcing deadlines & quality standards
* Troubleshooting problems throughout the production process, making sure to get the process up and running as quickly as possible again
* Monitor and identify production functions and reporting systems, work allocation, priorities, failures and errors (scrap and rework), training and provision of adequate cover
* Liaising with Production Control Manager with regard to deliveries, priorities and overdue orders issues
* Induction/Onboarding of new staff and holiday bookings
* Dealing with staff performance, absence issues and carry out personal staff reviews, making sure to liaise with management on any disciplinary concerns
* Determining any critical skill requirements and arrange training and support for these
* Workspace security and health and safety standards supervision
* Supervision of lean manufacturing/5S methods and standards within the Production areas
Job Requirements:
* Experience in a leadership role, within manufacturing environment
* Strong/assertive leadership skills
* Can adapt easily to different working environments
* Has a strong result driven approach to work
* Good with time management skills
* Has a positive, strategic and organised approach to work
* Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
* IT literate
Hours:
* Monday – Friday
* 38 hours per week (nominal working hours 8.30am – 4.26pm)
* Additional hours may be required to complete all jobs
