As part of the development of its Comfort and Driving Assistance Systems Business Domain, which improves safety and driving comfort while offering easy access and better visibility around the vehicle, Valeo is looking for a Mechanical Engineer , to be based in Créteil (France).
Your challenges ?
Check part manufacturability with co designer supplier for plastic, Zamak, stamped and decorated parts.
Pre design phase
Perform Audit to evaluate new supplier
Design phase
Check part feasibility during the design phase for all CIE primary parts (plastic, zamak, connectics, metal brackets, decoration…)
Make sure the parts are feasible according to the specification of the drawing (tolerances) defined by MDL
Check supplier technical proposal for part realization (process review, tool review…)
Edit design rule to support Mechanical designers
Perform DFM review
Tuning phase
In charge of tool reception at supplier level
Participate to tool optimization in tuning phase
Manage tool ramp up
Manage quality defect on primary part at supplier level
Serial life
Support cost saving activity
Support resourcing activity
Support primary part modification
Let's talk about you …
With an engineering school or equivalent degree, you benefit from at least 5 years of experience in : plastic part development, rheology and injection process (molding and overmolding) stamping parts, Zamak parts, decorated parts and technology
Skilled in CAD conception (CATIA V5 (3D volume and 2D)
A fluent english is required (French is a plus)
