Job Description:

Job Duties:

Provide support to students age : 2- 19 years old. with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Support the classroom teacher in creating a positive learning environment
Help students with SEN to access the curriculum and participate in all activities
Monitor and track progress of students with SEN

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Experience working with students with SEN
Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Understanding of the UK educational system and SEN policies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Additional training in specific areas of SEN support

Working Conditions:

Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
Contract-based role with potential for extension
Work within a school environment alongside teaching staff
Potential for some flexibility in working hours based on school requirements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
