Major Recruitment are currently seeking a Financial Assistant on a Part Time, Permanent Basis for our client based in the Altens area of Aberdeen. The main purpose of the Financial Assistant position is to monitor costs and manage company accounts effectively and economically.

Responsibilities of the Financial Assistant Position:

Co-ordinate with Administrator for the preparing and processing supplier payments via banking system and send out remittances to suppliers.
Coordinate month-end procedures including the production of spread sheets, balances, journals, and reports as required by the Company.
Provide cash flow projections monthly.
Preparation of Sales Figures daily to ensure balances are correct and forwarded to the Managing Director (and/or any other nominated person) in a timely manner.
Ongoing analysis of all costs against budget and investigation, if necessary.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual returns for HMRC
Prepare Year End Management Accounts, coordinating with Group Finance & Operations Director
Maintain and manage Fixed Asset Register
Ensure all records of Company Credit Card is maintained and where possible only use if no other means of payment is acceptable.
Monitoring renewal of company vehicles associated financial arrangements.
Monthly payroll for all employees & HMRC submissions
Assist with pricing and providing data to the Managing Director for product pricing to be identified and set.
Ensure that best prices are maintained and reviewed in all aspects of Purchasing, approving all Purchase Orders

Experience Required for the Financial Assistant Position:

Essential:

Experience of managing budgets and financial reporting systems.
Experience of managing different teams
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
Working knowledge of SAGEDesirable:

Experience in a similar role.
