About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting new opportunity for a Landowner Interface Engineer to join the operational team working on our project on the Isle of Skye.

What you'll be doing

Involvement in the day-to-day running of the projects as instructed by Balfour

Beatty with the purpose of agreeing access onto private land.
Work closely with the Balfour Beatty PMO delivery team and other project

subcontractors and consultancy teams to ensure landowners requirements are

communicated and managed during the construction works.
Provide advice to government departments, councils, special interest groups

and land users on policy issues.
Resolution of landowners & clients. complaints and defects
Provide landowner advice to project staff and project consultants as required.
Correspondence with land agents, landowners, associated works contractors

etc.
The preparation of notices and other formalities for entry on to private land
Meetings on site prior to works commencing in order to agree access for works

to be undertaken.
Daily site visits to ensure works being carried out are compliant with

landowners’ requirements.
Provide weekly landowner/client update reports to senior project manager and

attending scheme progress meetings as required.
Visiting sites during any remediation works to ensure areas are returned to

landowner in required condition.
Ability to resolves complex problems that do not have routine solutions.
Ability to negotiate tactfully and diplomatically with people at all levels.
Provide landowner advice to project staff and project consultants as required.
Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in

legislation.
Keep up to date with new national or EU regulations that are likely to affect land

use.
An understanding of the distinction between different varieties of crops and

breeds of animals in assessing their economic
Excellent communication skills and credibility with farmers, landowners and

clients
The preparation of notices and other formalities for entry on to private land
 Keep up to date with new national or EU regulations that are likely to affect land

use.
Provide advice to government departments, councils, special interest groups

and land users on policy issues.

Who we're looking for

Experience of working with numerous landowners at one time.
Organised and able to manage a busy workload.
Excellent communication skills and credibility with farmers, landowners and

clients.
Up to date IT skills.
Ability to resolves complex problems that do not have routine solutions.
Ability to negotiate tactfully and diplomatically with people at all levels.
Valid Full Driver’s license
