MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1.1.Ensure safe daily operations within the swimming pool areas by ensuring compliance of all health, safety and fire prevention policies and procedures.
1.1.2.To undertake training of all time – lifesaving techniques /procedures with special attention in the development of staff, swimming abilities, stamina, strokes, and water awareness.
1.1.3.Must attend to the need of the guests immediately, serious problems / situations must be reported to Safety and Security Manager immediately.
1.1.4.Strictly follow Lost and Found procedure.
1.1.5.Work closely with other departments related to Security to ensure effective customer orientated operation.
1.1.6.Implement duties in line with the Quality Standards, Security and Health & Safety requirements and applicable legislations
1.1.7.Implement any other duties as assigned by the Lifeguard Supervisor.
1.1.8.Attending all Departmental meetings.
1.1.9.Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
1.1.10.Ensure safe daily operations within the Recreation & Security Department by ensuring compliance of all health, safety and fire prevention policies and procedures.
1.1.11.Ensure all pools are cleaned (07:00 – 08:00 Hrs.) on daily basis and at such times when required.
1.1.12.To maintain a daily Chlorine / PH reading log book of pool water. These test to be carried out at 08:00, 12:00, 16:00, 19:30 Hrs.
1.1.13.Ensure that all surrounding areas of pools are kept clean and all lounges / tables, umbrellas, ashtrays are placed neatly at the start and end of each operational day as well as during the day.
1.1.14.To report any maintenance issues to the Lifeguard Supervisor and /or Safety and Security Manager
1.1.15.To be fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel and to make suggestions for improvement, expansion or creation of new services.
1.1.16.To report training needs to Team Leader /Manager.
1.1.17.To assist Recreation team when required in organizing activities for guests / corporate groups, etc.
1.1.18.Ensure all life saving equipment is checked daily and placed in correct location for ease of collection if required.
1.1.19.To check all guest contact areas (toilets / showers / changing rooms / kids club / spa etc.) to maintain high standard of hygiene.
