Senior Site Manager

Currently looking for an Oxford based Senior Site Manager for a main contractor. Strong pipeline of work in Oxford hence why they are looking at adding a strong Senior Site Manager for upcoming key projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion

* Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs

* Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations

* Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors

* Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory

* Meet contractual conditions of performance

* Review the work progress on daily basis

* Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status

* Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones

* Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences

* Analyse, manage and mitigate risks

* Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

* A strong main contractor background who can demonstrate career longevity, and evidence that they have managed projects from commencement to completion. Projects are liley to be £10m to £40m in commercial/labs and student accomodation.

* Proven experience of managing others through good communication.

* Flexible approach to dealing with issues and challenges

* Able to plan and organise effectively to meet tight timescales

* Manage time effectively in order to ensure that deadlines are met

* Literate in the use of IT

* SMSTS and First Aid certification

* Live in Oxford or hold an OX postcode. Applicants outside of these parameters will not be considered.
