Senior site manager

This project is awarded and at the Midway stage hence the need to put the right local long-term Construction manager in to take the scheme as part of the team from initial design through to successful completion.

Joining the mid way stage you will be part of the team on this project consisting of 3 blocks of RC frame apartments up to 10 stories with communal areas for the residents in this phase alone over the next 13 months with on gong work dependant on location and ability to travel for this renowned and successful developer / contractor

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be the on site number 1 for your area / packages responsible for everything from sub-contractor compliance to technical queries and quality checks through to the delivery.

You will be typically responsible for:

Build ability, programming of works, design development.
Management and mentoring of subcontractors team.
Ensuring company health and safety standards are planned, communicated, achieved and enforced;
Quality Assurance;
Coordination meetings with specialist subcontractors and site team;
Reporting on progress against programme;
Early Issue resolution;
Snagging and handovers.

As the lead for you section of RC works initially you will deal with the coordination of trades sub-contractors across the scheme in cluing lifting and logistics across the site up until your role moves on to the internals and facades packages as required to get he project handed over

You will be working with your team of trades subcontractors who will look to you for the management of the program , safety and technical issues from subcontractors to making the decisions to steer the job on track for a timely delivery with minimum defects.

Dealing with the master program and management of sub-contractors queries you will be the part of the delivery team for the duration of the project.

Candidates must be able to manage and motivate teams and sub-contractors senior management team and be driven to deliver the job on time and to budget ,

You will be able to lead meetings with your project team and specialist subcontract teams to solve issues and keep the job moving.

Applicants must have at least 10 year's experience of major projects from start to finish as a number one project manager on scheme in excess of £ 25 million in the past along with up-to-date CSCS , SMSTS and 1st aid .

Candidates must be able to take a job to site and manage the entire process through to successful handover.
