Are you looking to expand your skillset as a Quantity Surveyor with one of the largest M&E businesses in the area?
Our client specialize in mechanical and electrical services contracting, delivering high-quality solutions for a range of projects including residential care villages, hotels, and innovative client endeavors.
They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in contracting, particularly in pre-contract negotiation and leading the commercial aspects of fast-track multi-million-pound projects. The successful candidate will provide full pre-construction commercial support, ensuring the Project Delivery team is well-informed about project costs and contractual matters. Additionally, they will support the Commercial Director as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct post-tender negotiations to finalize contracts
* Maintain contract documentation and offer pre-tender and post-contract advice
* Review and negotiate contract terms
* Liaise with the design team and clients post-contract
* Negotiate and manage sub-contracts
* Prepare cost value reconciliation reports
* Manage project programs and evaluate progress
* Contribute to team development, including mentoring trainees
Qualifications and Skills:
* HNC/HND/BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Law, or Business Management
* Excellent communication skills
* High degree of personal motivation
* Strong commercial acumen
* Ability to work collaboratively and support operational teams
* Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Attention to detail
* Effective negotiation skills
* Flexibility in working across various business areas and adaptable to challenging situations
* Enterprising mindset with a strategic approach
* Willingness to take responsibility and contribute value to the role, department, and company
* Valid driver's license
