Purchase Ledger Clerk | Full time - 8 month Contract | Wrexham | On-site | Salary up to £25,000

Ashley Kate are proud to be working with our client who operate in the manufacturing sector on a Fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave period. You will working in a fast paced environment reporting into the General Manager of Finance. The role is office based with an early finish on Friday!

Responsibilities:

· Purchase Ledger responsibility for one company.

· Filing & matching delivery notes and purchase orders

· Statement reconciliation

· Invoice matching.

· Maintain monthly spreadsheets - Invoice entries.

· Payment entry and matching within accounting system.

· Entry and reconciliation of invoices into purchase ledger system

· Dealing with supplier queries, payment requests via email and telephone

· Payment spreadsheet to send to Associate Vice President - Finance.

· Setting up and processing weekly BACS run payments through accounting system.

· Processing payments through the bank

· Balancing purchases at month end

· Accruals

· Checking synchro system for invoices booked in regularly.

· Liaising with Group FC/Management Act at month end

· Liaising with Purchasing Manager at month end, supply monthly figures.

· Ad-hoc duties

About you:

· Sound planning and organisational skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication.

· The ability to work in a team and individually.

· Systematic, methodical approach to work with the ability to prioritise tasks.

· Good attention to detail

· Excellent problem-solving skills.

· Highly motivated to work using own initiative. Can-do attitude.

· Comfortable taking calls.

· AAT level 1 or 2 (desirable)

· Strong IT skills specifically Microsoft Excel.
