Join my clients Power Networks team in a senior role, focusing on the high-quality delivery of FEED and detailed design projects. You'll be detail-oriented, adept at managing deadlines, and capable of handling competing priorities.
In this client-focused contract position, you'll build strong relationships and work both at client sites and from our offices. You'll interface with clients, understand their needs, and turn opportunities into successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead FEED and detailed design workstreams for National Grid.
- Act as BP141/equivalent assurance engineer when needed.
- Review HV plant aspects including layouts, earthing design, mechanical interlocking, busbar calculations, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Attend and chair design review and hazard review meetings.
- Conduct site visits, FAT, and SAT as required.
What You Bring:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven leadership in engineering projects through asset lifecycles.
- Experience leading teams in EHV substation projects (132kV+).
- Background with client organizations like transmission system operators or design consultancies.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Chartered Engineer (IET).
- BP141 or equivalent authorization or capability.
Details:
Location - Pref Birmingham or Glasgow but could be flexible
Hours - 40 per week over 5 days
IR35 - Inside
Duration - 6 months
