Job title: Backend Software Developer
Location: Staffordshire (hybrid working)
Salary: (dependent upon credentials and experience)
Job type: Full-time permanent position

The role will include, but is not limited to:
Participating in all phases of software development - including design, implementation, testing, code review and documentation
Actively seek ways to improve software processes and interactions
Collaborate with directors, designers and other developers to build a best-in-class experience for our customers
Develop, maintain, monitor, and support our core platform, helping to automate and streamline data processes
Write robust, scalable code
Partake in code reviews
We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Developer with commercial software development experience. There is the opportunity to progress very quickly. You will assist in developing, evolving and supporting backend services and helping roll out other exciting products and services that are about to launch. There will be an opportunity to lead in key decisions aligned with the role and ultimately an opportunity to build a team around you.
The role will be building on current developments but with the freedom to stamp their own mark on our progression and put forward development ideas with a direct channel to directors. You will acquaint with all current software and build on these base functions and services. There will be plenty of opportunities to broaden your personal development in a wide spectrum of languages, tools and skills. A mix of proficiency and familiarity with the following.
Desirable Experience:
* Strong demonstrable experience with Python
* Raspberry Pi
* Experience with Cloud Services - preferably in Google Cloud Platform
* Firebase or other cloud-based databases
* REST APIs
* Experience with Git and version control workflow
* HTML and JavaScript
* Java, C or C++
* Vue.js
