Exciting opportunity for a full time Key Account Manager based from home with UK travel, with earnings between £65k and £70k per annum. 

My client is looking for someone to join their ever-growing team. With the Company being based in Evesham, this will be a home based but customer facing role within the food service sector. Your focus will be on distributors and end users across B&I, events and hospitality. There is the scope to develop the role into the convenience retail sector in year 2. 

Objective

To reopen and drive forwards a dormant UK sector through focus, drive, energy and demonstrable expertise.

To take a strategic, tactical and hands on approach to instil directional momentum and genuine industry knowledge with right level authority.

Ultimately to return the foodservice sales to pre Covid levels and back in to double digit growth.

Key Relationships

Externally – chef relationship and interaction is fundamental, heads of food, heads of purchasing, operations managers, supply chain & site managers

Internally – sales colleagues, supply chain & logistics, product development & production, operations & finance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Day to day management from sales process to samples (planning, formulating and executing to a World class standard);

Product presentations;

Customer meetings;

Forecasting, pipeline creation & management;

New product development initiation and involvement, product launches and market penetration;

Budget planning and performance reporting of sales and EBITDA. 

Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required

Strong sector experience, a foodie and a keen commercial eye on opportunity, planning, execution, performance and details;

Demonstrated as able to grow business both current and from opportunity creation;

A keen listener, thinker and doer who derives respect from listening to the customer and colleague, outlining the requirements and goals and delivering them in a complete, timely and profitable manner for all stakeholders;

Chef background beneficial, key though is a knowledge of the foodservice sector including distributors, hotel & hospitality sector, cafes & dessert bars, FTG processors and end users, from key account to independent levels;

Highly able communicator both verbal and written;

High level of IT skills (inc MS office programs), happy presenting virtually or personally and able to articulate and demonstrate a high degree of product and operational knowledge to customers and colleagues alike.
