A-LINE STAFFING IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A DEDICATED AND EXPERIENCED REGISTERED NURSE (RN) TO JOIN OUR HEALTHCARE TEAM WITHIN THE CORRECTIONAL SETTING. AS A CORRECTIONAL RN, YOU WILL PLAY A CRUCIAL ROLE IN DELIVERING HIGH-QUALITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO INCARCERATED INDIVIDUALS, ENSURING THEIR WELL-BEING AND PROMOTING A SAFE AND SECURE ENVIRONMENT.

Pay Rate: 45 per hour depending on Experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:

PATIENT CARE:Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates, including assessment, triage, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
*
MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION:Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accuracy, adherence to protocols, and monitoring for potential side effects or adverse reactions.
*
EMERGENCY RESPONSE:Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies within the correctional facility, coordinating with the healthcare team and security personnel to ensure a swift and organized response.
*
HEALTH EDUCATION:Conduct health education sessions for inmates on topics such as disease prevention, medication management, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
*
COLLABORATION:Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for inmates.
*
DOCUMENTATION:Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

SECURITY MEASURES:Adhere to security protocols and guidelines, working closely with correctional officers to ensure the safety and security of both healthcare staff and inmates.

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT:Provide emotional support and counseling to inmates dealing with mental health issues, collaborating with mental health professionals as needed.
In corrections medical center, is responsible for all health care of 20-60 bedridden inmates (i.e., makes rounds, evaluates care needed & rendered; does care plans & teaches health care principles; administers medication including narcotics; renders all direct nursing care as needed) & performs specialized procedures (i.e., iv therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusion, incubation & CPR, tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning & phle botomyduties).
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Current RN license in the state of OHIO
* BLS certification;
* Ability to work within a secure and structured environment.
* Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
