• Sygma is participating to the construction of a new Hydropower plant in the center of the Alps in Austria. In order to comply with all quality requirements we are looking for an mechanical or aerospace Engineer to act as our Site Quality Specialist. The construction is taking place inside tunnels and galleries. The main activities to be followed and documented are: mechanical assemblies, weldings, ensure that all the technical documents are up to date. Ensuring compliance with Austrian regulations and standards. Fluent German language and English skills are essential for effective communication with team members, customer and stakeholders.

• Be the reference for Quality & Excellence culture at site.
• Be proactive by validating all critical assembly before starting it.
• Be proactive by reading all relevant instructions & technical document before site mobilisation.
• Ensure compliance to all technical requirements & drawings from engineering during erection and commissioning.
• Responsible for establishing a project quality management system (Quality Plan) in agreement with the Project Director, and Project Quality Leader, in compliance with ours and the customer requirements.
• Establish a verification plan to assure compliance to the Quality Plan at all parts of the project.
• Responsible to report and escalate, to the project team, about the Quality matters.
• Train the project team members in the use of the quality tools. (GE/contractors)
• Act as the main quality representative at site, towards the customer. Promote awareness of the STOP Work strategy, and ensure any STOP Work is documented

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace are preferred) from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience (5 year minimum in similar industries). A junior or freshly graduated P. Eng. in Mechanical with a good personality/mindset to learn
• Project Management - PMI/Prince/PMBOK, 8D/RCA, Risk Management, Cost of Quality Management, Customer Management, APQP
• Ready to move and live in Tyrol area for the next 15 months
