EV is taking over, join us!FunctieFor this position, it is important that you are from the EU (Deftpower is not acknowledged referent) and therefore have a work permit to work in the Netherlands or Germany.With your colleagues you will find out when to charge a car and when not to charge a car. This decision can save loads of money and CO2 if done right. Understanding the energy markets will make this job easier. Here are some of the tasks you will be performing:1. Algorithm Development:
- Design and implementforecasting algorithms to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our virtual powerplant
- Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate algorithms seamlessly into our existing systems (incl. consumer APP)
- Implement data processing scripts to handle real-time data from charging stations, electric vehicles and grid sources.
- Analyze data to improve system performance, user experience, and provide valuable insights.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and address software bugs and issues.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in EV charging and smart grid solutions.
- Propose and implement innovative features to enhance our smart charging platform.

- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Python Developer with a focus on algorithm development.
- Familiarity with smart charging concepts, electric vehicle infrastructure, and energy management systems.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data processing, analysis, and visualization tools
- Knowledge of version control systems ( , Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- You are an EU citizen and reside near Berlin or Arnhem. This is not a remote position.
