What will you do?
As an independent chef at 7 Continenten, you will be the driving force in our open kitchen! You will prepare dishes from different world cuisines, using the best fresh ingredients. You will work quickly but always with attention to quality. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will ensure that every guest has a unique culinary experience. Here are your specific responsibilities:
• Prepare dishes – You will prepare dishes according to the guests' preferences, focusing on diverse world cuisines such as Asian, Mediterranean, and Latin American. You will use fresh, seasonal ingredients to create the best possible flavors.
• Start the cooking stations – You will be responsible for starting the grill and wok stations and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained for optimal use.
• Preparation and mise en place – You will ensure that the ingredients are ready for use, including tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing sauces.
• Monitor inventory – You will keep a close eye on inventory levels and place timely orders for ingredients needed for the various cuisines we offer.
• Quality control – You will taste and assess all dishes before serving to ensure the flavors are perfect and meet the quality standards of 7 Continenten.
• Hygiene and safety – Adhering to hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen is essential. You will maintain a clean workspace and follow the correct procedures for food safety and equipment maintenance.
• Creative input – You will have the opportunity to propose new dishes and variations that align with our concept of world cuisines. We encourage you to bring new ideas to the table and collaborate on innovative menu options.
• Collaboration with the team – You will work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to execute guests' requests quickly and accurately, ensuring we always deliver excellent service.

Who are you?
You have a passion for cooking and a broad interest in various world cuisines. You enjoy variety and thrive in a lively, diverse environment. Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following points:
• You have completed a culinary education (MBO level 3) or have equivalent experience.
• You have experience with different cuisines and can quickly switch between various cooking styles.
• You have an eye for detail and are always working to improve your dishes.
• You can work independently and have a flexible, proactive attitude.
• You work quickly and efficiently without compromising the quality of the food.
