As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of electrical projects, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to accurately estimate costs, monitor expenses, and provide valuable insights to optimize project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost estimates for electrical works.

* Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.

* Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.

* Monitor project costs and expenditures, identifying potential risks and implementing cost-saving measures as needed.

* Collaborate with project teams to track progress, resolve financial discrepancies, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

* Prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.

* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the electrical construction sector.

* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles.

* Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar QS tools.

* Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

* Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable
