Requirement for an additional Health & Safety Manager to be responsible for all aspects of the company’s health, safety, and environmental management systems. This position provides leadership and support to all levels of the organisation.

Situation

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are partnered with one of the UK’s leading suppliers of rail wagon maintenance and repair. With roots firmly in the rail sector, they continue to set an ever-increasing standard to meet the needs of a diverse and changing industry.

The successful candidate will be an experienced HS&E Manager who will be operating out of multiple sites across the country and providing support and solutions to maintain the high quality of standards across all sites.

Key Responsibilities

Be responsible for the HS&E Management Systems that support and enhance the business.
Support alignment with the Long-Range Business Plans and additionally track, monitor, and report on resultant KPIs.
Build and sustain capabilities that ensure the HS&E management systems identify and eliminate or mitigate safety or environmentally unsafe practices/processes and reduce areas of potential non-compliance with the goal of maintaining the companies ISO 45001 & 14001.
Deliver monitoring and improvement plans including inspections, audits, and system objectives.
Maintain, enhance, and manage monitoring activities which identify hazards and unsafe behaviours.
Ensure that effective emergency response and crisis management measures are in place and tested periodically and that accidents and incidents are investigated and recommendations for corrective and preventative action are tracked and implemented.
Location: Head Office in Immingham (twice a month) + multi-site travel required.

Salary: Up to £53,000 + Company Hybrid Car & 10% Bonus Scheme

Working Practice: Due to the nature of the role this will be travelling across multiple sites.

Agreed Criteria for candidates to secure interview

5+ Years Managerial experience
University Graduate NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational H&S
Demonstrable experience within Health & Safety
Strong communication skills
Adaptability to multiple site environments
2+ Years Railway Operations experience
