The Solution Group, on behalf of our valued client, is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Supervisor to join their team. As a growing company with an expanding order book, our client specialises in the Design, Manufacture, Installation & Repair of Structural Steelwork, Marine & General Engineering. Located in Essex, our client is committed to maintaining high standards of safety across all aspects of their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with our Health & Safety Consultant to review and manage Health & Safety policies and documents.

* Prepare for ISO 9001, ISO 45001, EN1090 & SSIP audits.

* Develop Construction Phase Plans in accordance with regulatory requirements.

* Assist in creating site Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

* Conduct peer reviews of site Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

* Update and review the company's risk register.

* Conduct site inductions and issue permits.

* Complete periodic checks on plant and equipment.

* Conduct toolbox talks to promote safety awareness.

* Assess and manage training needs for employees.

* Work alongside site supervisors to ensure safe site operations.

* Monitor and enforce compliance with standard terms and conditions of sale.

Additional Duties:

* Issue and monitor Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

* Review subcontractor and supplier evaluations.

* Complete client Health & Safety questionnaires and maintain databases.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in the structural steel, manufacture, and erection industry is highly valued.

* Knowledge of confined space work and experience in the marine and port industry is advantageous.

* Qualified in Health & Safety management.

* Hands-on approach with the ability to conduct site audits and assist in site set up.

* Strong organisational and communication skills.

* Commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.

* Flexibility to manage responsibilities between site and depot environments.
