My client a UK leading not for profit organisation in Houghton Regis are looking for an External PR and Communications Executive

Location: Hybrid, 3 days in Head office in Houghton Regis, Beds, 2 WFH

Hours: 35 hrs a week

Salary: circa £33,000 DOE

Additions: 5 weeks hols (not including BH)

The PR and Communications Executive will have a degree in PR, Comms, journalism, or a related field.

The PR and Communications Executive will be an integral part of the team. Key in helping develop PR campaigns and build a robust relationship with media professionals. Coordinate press releases, help with press interviews, a monitor media coverage for their effectiveness. Working with cross functional teams to ensure all PR efforts are aligned with the business goals and strategies. You will be a strategic support to help with any crisis communications if needed.

Duties

Your duties will be as follows with the usual ad hoc as required:

* Ensure great relationships with media contacts including journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers

* Free ideas and press releases to media contacts securing coverage in relevant publication and media outlets

* Work closely with the companies PR agency to elevate the brands visibility and reputation

* Coordinate press events, media briefings, and product launches to generate a buzz and interest in the brand

* Write and distribute press releases, media advisories and other PR materials announcing news and events of the brand

* Monitor and track media coverage and social media conversations

* Respond and deal with media inquiries promptly and professionally

* Provide support for any crisis communications that may be required to God and protect the reputation of the brand from negative publicity

* Measure and report the effectiveness of any PR campaigns using relevant metrics and KPI's

Requirements

* Have a degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field

* Possess strong writing and editing skills, particularly in crafting compelling messages and press materials

* Familiar with the media landscape, news cycles, and trends

* Worked with media monitoring tools, PR software, and analytics platforms

* Have experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications

* Ideally, it would be amazing if you have had experience of working within the construction industry sector with its nuances

* Have eligibility to work in the UK (unfortunately, sponsorship is not available)
