The role

At Crown Paints, we're not just selling paint; we're crafting dreams and colouring lives. We're seeking an ambitious individual to join us as a Finance Apprentice to support the wider team in carrying out month end, forecasting and Strategic Initiatives key support tasks. You will be wokring with a dynamic team and will be collaborating and working with all six different Decorative businesses, to provide a consolidated view of the segment; whilst ensuring a harmonised approach and all group policies are adhered too.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is part qualified (up to AAT Level 2) to gain valuable on-the-job experience within an established organisation such as Crown Paints; whilst completing an AAT Level 3 qualifcation.

Key Tasks:

Run the weekly consolidation sales Flash reporting; covering commentary and any actions to mitigate highlighted risks.
Support on consolidation of working day one preliminary sales from all six Decorative businesses.
Support with Tagetik/Group reporting to for core month end reporting.
Support with MMR (Monthly Management Review); covering the Profitability, Accounts Receivable (balance and days) and CAPEX.
Support with the enhanced deep dive OPEX Project; supporting the tasking and development of the six Decorative business OPEX initiatives.
Support the Business Review Process; trend and data analysis to enable transparent and reporting of the Decorative segment.
Support the forecast process; collaborating and consolidating data input from individual business.
Develop Business Partnering and connecting across the Deco Business Finance team.

Key success criteria:

Prioritising own projects/tasks to meet internal deadlines.
Provide finance support in the consolidated of the six Decorative businesses.
Support Decorative Business Finance with consolidation of monthly results, forecast activities and initiative reviews.
Collate and consolidated all local processes for month end and forecasting; in order to identify key areas of improvement whilst harmonising to a standard approach.
Attend and complete the Apprentice course.

Required education, experience and job-related skills:

Three A levels or equivalent, equating to a minimum of 104 UCAS tariff points, working towards AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma or BTEC Level 3 in Business or Business & Accounting.
GCSE English Language and Maths; and a preferably a Business related subject passes at grade A*-C/9-4
