Our esteemed Architectural client in central Manchester are looking for a proven Job-Runner and Team-leader to join their thriving studio in the city centre to work on an exciting mixture of projects.
You will notice that the role advertised isn't specifically geared towards a qualified Architect or Architectural Technician/Technologist. What is most important here is the ability to run projects, manage a small team and to play a key role in a busy design studio.
The Architectural practice you will be joining have around 70 staff. They are a proper Manchester heavyweight with a really diverse mix of project work available across various sectors: Commercial, Retail, Industrial and some Residential. Whilst it isn't essential for this new hire to have experience in these sectors, it is preferred that the candidate for this role would have some experience in these areas.
What are we looking for?
- A proven job runner. Likely someone with at least 8 years experience working in Architectural practice.
- Someone that can manage a team of Architectural professionals. It's expected in this role you will be leading a team of 4 or 5 people.
- Someone client-facing and that doesn't mind being the point of contact, and that preferably quite enjoys it!
- Someone that can use both AutoCAD & REVIT software
- Someone with excellent building knowledge and proper awareness of UK building regs.
