We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Locum Practice Manager to join our team for a period of six months.

Role Overview:
As a Locum Practice Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice during this interim period. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the surgery, supporting our team of healthcare professionals, and ensuring exceptional patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the GP surgery, ensuring efficiency and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Coordinate staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all clinical and administrative tasks.
- Manage inventory and supplies to ensure availability of necessary resources for patient care.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to optimize practice workflows.

2. Financial Administration:
- Manage billing and invoicing processes, including handling patient payments and insurance claims.
- Monitor practice finances, budgeting, and expenditure to ensure financial sustainability.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as insurers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies regarding financial matters.

3. Staff Management:
- Provide leadership and support to administrative and clinical staff, fostering a positive working environment.
- Conduct staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations as necessary.
- Address staff concerns and grievances in accordance with HR policies and procedures.

4. Patient Relations:
- Ensure excellent patient service delivery, maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
- Handle patient feedback, complaints, and inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Implement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and engagement with the practice.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, data protection laws, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor practice performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement quality assurance measures to uphold clinical excellence and patient safety.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in practice management within a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP surgery or primary care environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in IT systems and software commonly used in healthcare administration.
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare management or administration are desirable.
