* Salary: £25,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The team

You will be part of the Service Delivery department where we administer loan and grants on behalf of Scottish Government.

The role

You will be part of our Edinburgh based Services Delivery team and assist in the managing and delivery of Scottish Government funded projects that aim to help people and businesses across Scotland to reduce the carbon impact and fuel costs of their transport and travel arrangements and to create warmer homes, reduce their energy bills, and lower their carbon footprint.

What you’ll do

* Manage the day-to-day delivery of projects by working closely with the Programme Manager and other Assistant Delivery Managers, ensuring targets in the Scottish Government work plan are met, and projects are delivered in line with the agreed processes and procedures.

* Ensure that customer service is maintained at a high level.

* To assist the Programme Manager by effectively managing loans and grant schemes in line with the agreed processes and procedures and contractual timescales agreed with Scottish Government.

What you’ll bring

* You will have excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and demonstratable numerical skills.

* The ability to work independently and to plan and prioritise multiple competing activities is essential in this fast-paced environment.

* Demonstrated experience of operational management.

As part of our recruitment process, we conduct background checks on all candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment. The nature of the scheme that we are contracted to work on with Scottish Government means that we are required to comply with UK Government standards when carrying out pre-employment checks for new starters. This check is known as the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (or BPSS) check.

The BPSS checks will include a basic criminal record check (DBS check), verification of identity, verification of right to work in the UK and your previous 3 years employment history. Information obtained will only be used for the purposes of assessing your suitability for the role. Please note that if successful, any offer of employment made will be conditional pending the successful completion of the BPSS checks.
