Learning & Development Facilitator (Secondment/Fixed Term)

An opportunity has arisen within the Human Resourcing team for a Learning and Development Facilitator based in Stratford. Please note that this position is a secondment/fixed term position expected to last 12 months.

The Role

The ideal colleague will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating core learning and development initiatives in alignment with our learning and Customer Experience strategies, KPIs, and objectives. Key responsibilities include delivering our flagship 'Welcome on Board' corporate induction program, acting as an ambassador for our Customer Experience programs, and supporting the training needs of our Customer Experience team through a blended learning approach.

Other responsibilities for this role involve collaborating with the Learning Design Manager on Customer Experience-led interventions, delivering bespoke training solutions as directed by the Organisation Development Manager and supporting wider GA programs such as Managing Suicidal Contacts and assisting in establishing designated route training needs for GA's Service Quality Regime.

It is important in this role to regularly review and update training materials for relevance and engagement, maintaining training documentation and materials in alignment with safety regulations and company policies, supporting the design and implementation of online learning and fostering a culture of blended learning, as well as attending relevant training seminars, webinars, and conferences to stay informed on industry trends.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a colleague with previous experience in training and hold a relevant qualification or be open to working towards obtaining one. You should understand the importance of training and development programs in driving ROI and achieving business objectives. You should be self-motivated and possess effective facilitation skills, including the ability to lead interactive activities and manage time effectively. It is important for the candidate to have credibility and professionalism to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.

Planning and organisational skills are needed to develop and execute plans to reach goals, with a focus on customer needs. Collaboration skills are needed to work with others towards common objectives, sharing ideas and information efficiently. You should be willing to travel and adapt to deliver training across various Greater Anglia locations. Proficiency in IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office, is required. Administration skills are also important, including prioritising records, managing changes, and handling scheduling efficiently. The ability to problem solve and have a focus on self-improvement, and the ability to mentor and support others would be advantageous. The candidate should understand the skills needed for a management position.. An interest in online and social learning platforms is beneficial. Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn quickly to effectively train others are key qualities required.
