In-House Paralegal (Contract)
Central Edinburgh-based | hybrid working available up to 2 days per week with 3 days in office
Full Time | 35 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract role until the end of August 2024
Pay rate up to £20.00 per hour depending on skills & relevant experience

Search Consultancy are currently working with an Edinburgh based not-for-profit client to recruit an experienced Paralegal who will be responsible for providing support to the company's Legal Department with a particular focus on property matters.

Duties involved in this role will include:
* Assisting with the legal property work carried out by the department with the support & guidance of the solicitors
* Working on a variety of property matters including processing legal reports, submitting advance notices, submitting applications to Registers of Scotland, dealing with LBTT and post-completion matters & preparing settlements
* Providing general administrative and secretarial support including handling confidential internal and external correspondence and telephone calls, preparing legal documents, forms, reports and correspondence & typing from digital dictation
* Preparing and issuing deeds for the Solicitor
* Liaising with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator
* Dealing with the general administrative work delegated to the department

In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:
* Previous experience within a Paralegal role with exposure to property matters such as the above - this experience is essential
* An understanding & working knowledge of Scottish Property Law
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent administration, organisation & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise & complete a busy workload effectively
* Solid IT Skills including the full MS Office suite
