The Company
The client, with over 30 years of experience and one of the largest independent Engineering consultancies in Scotland, is looking for a Graduate Transport Planner to join the team. They work across a range of sectors including residential, retail, and education. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from experienced leading-professionals!
The Position as a Graduate Transport Planner
In this role, you will be joining our Transportation department, contributing to the growth of our team and wider business. While some experience in the transportation field would be beneficial, a strong desire to develop into the role is essential. You will work in a supportive and collaborative team environment on a range of projects, from small-scale access assessments to strategic Transportation Assessments for development sites.
Responsibilities for the Graduate Transport Planner will include:
Assisting in drafting transport infrastructure scheme designs using AutoCAD.
Conducting data analysis.
Supporting road network analysis.
Assisting in the preparation of technical reports such as Transportation Assessments and Travel Plans.Essential Requirements of a Graduate Transport Planner
A degree in a related subject (MSc in Civil Engineering or Transport is desirable)
Conduct Data analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Interest in transport planning.
