Salary: PO3 £44,862 rising in annual increments to £48,063 per annum incl. LW

Are you passionate about providing support and intervention to families in crisis to prevent the escalation of risks to children? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Family Support & Child Protection Team (FSCP) at Lambeth Council.

As a Social Worker in our FSCP team, you will play a pivotal role in providing early help and intervention to families experiencing difficulties, working to strengthen protective factors and reduce risks to children. Working collaboratively with families, communities, and partner agencies, you will help to create supportive environments where families can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide timely and effective support and intervention to families experiencing difficulties, with a focus on preventing the escalation of risks to children.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of families referred to the team, identifying strengths, needs, and risks.
Develop and implement family support plans in collaboration with families, ensuring they are strengths-based and responsive to the individual needs of each family member.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies, community resources, and support networks to coordinate holistic support services for families.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to family support and child protection.Requirements:

Relevant social work qualification (Social Work England).
Experience in family support services, early intervention, or working with families in crisis.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with families, communities, and professionals.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practices in family support and child protection.
