Job Description In recent years, GM Information Technology has successfully executed the largest IT transformation in the history of the automotive industry, fully insourcing what once was a nearly completely outsourced IT function. GPSC IT Project and Program Management teams are responsible for the delivery of the output/product of the program, which will involve managing a portfolio of projects and programs. As a key member of this group you will be responsible for coordinating the teams who are working on various projects among other duties. Additionally, responsibilities will include ensuring that all business deliverable's are identified and accounted for in the project plan with responsibility and due dates. Continuously monitor and report on project status Manage the identification, documentation, and traceability of business requirements Investigate and document complex business processes Prepare presentations for various levels of leadership Coordinate the input and approval of various project design and decision documents Provide guidance and support during execution of change management activities Developing tracking scorecards and metrics to illustrate status and ownership. Developing milestone reviews for the key milestones and ensures the team is on track to deliver. Track business resources and identify any shortages based on project plans Align cross-functional business and technical teams to help ensure alignment of goals and to help resolve conflicting priorities. Assist Workstream Leaders in managing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business and organizational units Monitor project progress and consolidate status reports Gain an understanding of program workstreams/projects to be able to assist in identification of issues and risks Additional Job Description Qualifications: Minimum of 3+ years' experience in project management for an Automotive, Manufacturing or related industry. Strong proficiency with MS Project and Office suite. Experience with HP Program and Project Management (PPM) software Experience with TFS or AzureDevOps Server 2019 Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Demonstrated and proven in-depth knowledge of project management disciplines (e.g. PMBOK, Schedule, Scope, Quality, HR, Communications, etc.) Experience in managing projects leveraging different software development methodologies, specifically Agile Strong skills in problem solving, predictive analysis, specifically on software development/deployment projects, resource/staffing management Experience in measuring project success factors with respect to cost, schedule and quality, i.e. product requirements quality, test quality and code quality Practical experience with requirements and test case development Strong experience interacting with business customers and managing expectations Proven work experience working as a Project Manager with a successful project delivery record Ability to work with business interface teams, business leads, development & QA teams, and interlock resource managers to estimate cost and negotiate requirements to minimize project impact Preferred Requirements: Business process experience including Materials Management, Production Planning, Sales and Distribution Experience managing SAP implementations Certified Project Manager by PMI Institute, ScrumAlliance, , or Scaled Agile Scrum Master/Advanced Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer experience/certifications is preferred Prior experience in a Scrum Master role Locations: Warren, MI and Austin, TX only - we are unable to provide relocation at this time Benefits Overview The goal of the General Motors total rewards program is to support the health and well-being of you and your family.
