Electro Mechanical Engineer

My client based in Redruth is looking for a Mechatronics Technician

Job role:

The requirements of the role will be varied due to the dynamic range of projects undertaken. Some of the more typical day to day aspects of the role would include assembly and test of integrated subsea mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, building electronic system assemblies, calibrating, commissioning, and testing equipment.

You will be a key team member of a process which completes projects from concept through to delivery.

Responsibilities:

You will have responsibility for the following:

· Assembly and commissioning of electromechanical products with an emphasis on the electrical and electronic aspects.

· Testing and quality control.

· Documentation of assembles and QC.

· PCB board assembly.

· Assembly of wiring looms and cables.

· Fault finding and investigations on existing products.

· Configuration of electronic hardware and modules.

Essential Prerequisites:

· Relevant engineering degree, HNC or equivalent or a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.

· Competent at soldering wires and electronic components including surface mount.

· Working with single, three phase and low voltage systems.

· Good logical fault finding and repair skills.

· Safe use of handheld and power tools.

· Able to read electrical and electronic schematics.

· Detail focused individual.

· Ability to confidently work individually and within a team.

· Desire to learn and continually improve your knowledge.

· Excellent IT skills including use of Microsoft office products.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Eligible to work in the UK.

Preferred Prerequisites:

· Electrical and electronic software experience: EPlan, SolidWorks, KICAD, Proteus etc.

· Experience in panel building

· Experience in microcontroller programming

· 18th edition wiring regulations

· Experience with serial devices

· Offshore experience

· Marine experience

The salary for this role is paying £36k to £41k.
