Production Manager

We are recruiting for a Production Manager from a manufacturing background to join a leading plastics manufacturer in this brand new role based in Hereford on a permanent, full time basis.
As Production Manager you will work Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a salary of £45k per annum plus excellent benefits as below.
Reporting into Operations Manager, you will responsibility for managing the manufacturing facility including the direct management for 3 Production Shift Managers who work across 3 shifts. Your main responsibilities will include:

Assist in the creation of the production plan and inform the Operations Manager of any implications.
Responsible for the execution of the production plan.
Ensure manufacturing processes deliver the planned output and Yield performance
Ensure products are manufactured to meet the customer expectations and specification
Responsible for resource planning and manage the workforce in line with the company policy
Ensure production data accuracy is maintained and verified
Provide the Operations Manager with performance reports on a regular basis
Create and publish KPI’s relating to the production performance on a daily basis
Provide the General Manager with regular asset condition reports
Ensure all tools and machines are maintained to a high standard
Support the Operations Manager to implement improvements and projects as required 
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

Previous experience working as a Production Manager within a manufacturing environment
Experience in managing large workforce on multiple shifts
Understanding of plastic manufacturing processes would be advantageous
Formal Management qualification is desirable
Plastic Extrusion or Moulding Industry Experience is desirable
Continuous improvement techniques
Good IT skills in particular Excel and MRP/ ERP systems
Good attention to detail
Dynamic and enthusiastic shop floor management style
Excellent communication skills
