We at Twenty4Seven Education are currently seeking a dedicated and innovative Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join one of our esteemed secondary schools in Coventry.

As a DT Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students to explore the principles of design, engineering, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and practical DT lessons that cover a range of design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.

*

Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, experiment, and problem-solve through hands-on design projects.

*

Teach skills in woodworking, metalworking, electronics, textiles, and other relevant technologies, incorporating safety procedures and best practices in workshop environments.

*

Integrate lessons on sustainability, ergonomics, and ethical considerations to promote responsible and socially conscious design practices.

*

Differentiate instruction to support students of varying levels of experience and ability, providing personalized support and challenge as needed.

*

Assess student progress through practical projects, design portfolios, and written assignments, providing constructive feedback to support their technical skills and creative development.

Requirements:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in design and technology education.

*

Strong background in design, engineering, or a related field, with expertise in practical skills and workshop techniques.

*

Experience teaching DT or related subjects to students of varying ages and abilities (preferred but not required).

*

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

*

Commitment to fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship among students.
