WHAT TO EXPECT

We are seeking a dynamic Lead Engineer to join our ElectroThermal Fluids CAE Chapter. This role will involve utilizing virtual techniques to simulate electrothermal fluid systems within batteries, electric drive units, and internal combustion engines. As part of our CAE chapter, you'll play a pivotal role in the product development process, ensuring robust and repeatable processes are in place to support digital development phases.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Conduct virtual verification of PT units, employing 3D CAE techniques with standardized processes.

Provide clear RAG status against engineering questions and review CAD feedback before virtual assessments.

Undertake design optimization, collaborating with key stakeholders and effectively presenting at design reviews.

Support the development of tools and techniques to enhance CAE capability and improve quality of virtual models.

Assist in issue resolution and warranty activity as needed, liaising with internal customers and offshore operations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Working knowledge and experience of ElectroThermal Fluid CAE methodologies.

Background in solving complex technical challenges, particularly in battery/electric drive units and internal combustion component/system development.

Competency in explicit and/or implicit software and associated pre/post-processing packages such as XFLOW/SPH Codes, StarCCM+, JAVA/Python, and Matlab.

Experience in proposing product modifications to improve design.

Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
