Welder Fabricator

Time served Welder Fabricator will be welding steels pipes (304, 321, 310 and mild steel grades) welding sleeves to blocks from engineering drawings. TIG Welding can be taught.
STICK/ STIK welding carbon (mild) on AC. £30,160 (equivalent £15.50ph PAYE for standard 40hours + x1.5 Overtime)
Working from welding drawings with minimal supervision

Welding materials stainless 2mm to 7mm thickness so dexterity and quality finish (this can be taught)

Busy order books and extensive project range working on one off products and batch quantities less than 100 therefore this is an exciting and varied role.

Installation and commissioning of manufactured equipment on and around site (hot furnace environments)

You will be required as Welder Fabricator to often work in a hot environment and involves manual lifting (when on site projects)
Site Allowances are available if ever support site project!

Experience using bandsaws, cutting tools and hand or power tools ideal (flexibility is required to learn this)
Other general engineering skills for the Welder Fabricator will include operating a 2 tonne OHC (overhead crane)

Ideally the Welder Fabricator will have an FLT Counter balance but training can be offered and training will be paid for to get your cert' on this.
Overtime and site work and daily premiums available.
The company provides overalls and all safety equipment.
This is a shop based role BUT MAY have occasional requirement to be out on site 1-2weeks at a time therefore you MUST have an in- date passport to be considered for this role.

All other general fab shop duties expected of you across the day
As Welder Fabricator you will be expected to work and adhere to strict Health and Safety standards set by the company
To be successful in your application as Welder Fabricator you MUST:
Have skills and have a proven work experience in fabrication and & STICK welding with stainless steel and mild steels for more than 3 years or
Hold necessary qualifications/ be time served and experienced in & STIK welding within a similar engineering environment.

Hold a Driving License; a company vehicle is supplied when doing any site installation work
Have an in- date passport to be considered for this role (Site Allowance (not overtime) is £72 per week day and £108 weekend days, irrespective of hours worked)
Fully paid for full days away, even travel days!
