For our partner based in Mechelen and active in the construction world, we are looking for a Support Engineer.
Description
The Support Engineer provides IT support to end users and is responsible for maintaining the IT Infrastructure (Hardware & software). His main tasks are
- Speaking to customers (end users) or other stakeholders by phone, email and/or via the support tool, who have questions about technical and/or ICT-related issues in order to enable employees to perform their tasks smoothly.
- Coordinate the work of external team members in order to achieve optimal cooperation & deployment of resources.
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and documentation of PCs in order to optimally manage the stock and ensure the quality of the Hardware.
- (Carrying out periodic performance and security checks in order to create an optimal (digital) working environment for the employees.
- Maintaining contact with various external partners in the context of security, maintenance of networks & servers, monitoring of connections, etc. Handle reports & incidents arising from these.
- Timely identification of technical issues and threats so as not to compromise business operations.
- Management and maintenance of the IT Infrastructure (Hardware & software).
- Management and support of the M365 environment: creating & managing users & licenses.
- Provide support during projects such as replacement of outdated laptops, transition to new servers, installation of polycom, implementation of SharePoint, Teams telephony etc.
Your profile
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure concepts, including routing protocols, Firewall management, LAN/WLAN configurations, WAN technologies, and Azure networking.
- Experience with Hardware and software troubleshooting and support, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
- Proficiency in SCCM for software deployment, patch management, and system administration.
- Good understanding of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- You are trilingual (French - Dutch - English).
