Our client is an innovative technology company engaged in cutting edge research and solution development to meet the needs of Government customers.

Opportunity

They are looking for an Information Systems Engineer. Someone who is self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team, able to take direction and follow processes where applicable, pick things up and run with it.

You will be joining an experienced team who can help develop your skills and experience, becoming an integral part of our client’s growing team and future.

**Due to the nature of our clients work all candidates will need to hold a British (not dual) passport and be able to undergo Security Clearance. **

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

* Management and maintenance of core IT systems including patch management;

* Responding to requests for help through the Company IT Help Desk;

* Building laptops and servers to meet needs of the wider team and projects:

* 1st-3rd line or any Business As Usual (BAU) tasks.

Profile

Candidates will have:

Essential

* Minimum of 5 years of IT experience,

* Invested in 1st and 2nd line IT support.

* Windows, Linux, MacOS Administration,

* Active Directory Administration i.e. Accounts, Groups, DNS

* VMware - ESXi, vSphere.

* Experience of system monitoring and system patching and backups.

* Able to recommend products/processes if there’s a gap.

Desirable

* Basic understanding of patching, networking, switches, and access points.

* Basic understanding of Powershell / Bash.

* Basic understanding of AWS.

* Experience building, macs, windows and Linux OS.
