Heavy Duty Mechanic

Overview:
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As part of our mechanic team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of heavy equipment, ensuring their optimal performance and safety. This is a full-time or part-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Experience:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs
- Experience with electrical systems in heavy equipment is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately
- Strong attention to detail to perform precise repairs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good customer service skills when interacting with clients or operators
- Familiarity with tractor-trailers or industrial equipment is a plus
