Solution Architect required by our market leading, award winning retail sector organisation in Bristol. This is a hybrid role with 1 day a week in Bristol but with flexibility.
You will be the technical authority, overseeing and providing high level solution architecture and design across enterprise systems, focused on ERP – Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, and core applications/system. You will be responsible for outlining technical solutions to support a range of key business initiatives within a dynamic business environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Work closely with key business stakeholders alongside the Enterprise Architect, Business Analysts, and Delivery Team, internal technical resources and third parties.
* Understand and appreciate business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Collaborate with the teams to guarantee completion of each project, and ensure the deliverables and artifacts are in line with the proposed solution, and each component is testable.
* This role is internally customer facing, with cross-functional interaction from Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and IT departments, and externally facing to third party technology providers.
* Set, update, and ensure adherence to overall application architecture direction for Technology
* Ensure that technical solutions are not limited by design, and are able to support business requirements and anticipated future growth
* Manage design elements of tactical and strategic initiatives to ensure they do not become limitation factors
* Determine and document HLD and LLD design to meet requirements, including application components and integration approach, where applicable
* Support detailed design activity across application set, and ensure adherence to solution design and architectural principles
Required Background:
* Experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar for a retail or wholesale business, with a track record of owning application architecture and solution design
* Involvement in project and business change delivery in a customer-facing commercial organisation (i.e. project planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation)
* Ability to map out existing architecture, identify strengths / weaknesses, and act on this initial analysis
* Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
* Structured planning, organisation, and time management skills
* ERP functional and integration experience
* Integrations/Middleware experience, preferably Azure Integration Services
* SQL/T-SQL Experience

* Experience working with Agile methodologies
* Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
* Power Platform experience
