ALBIS is an international polymer distributor and thermoplastic compounding business. It distributes a comprehensive range of polymers on behalf of many World Class producers holding a market leading position across Europe. The company is also a market leading thermoplastic compounder with an excellent range of own branded compounds. Key markets are the automotive, packaging, medical and electrical/electronic sectors. Its name is synonymous with high quality products and much of the company’s business is centered on technical engineering polymers; however this is supplemented by long standing relationships in more standard materials. The role is a newly created position to manage ALBIS’s French subsidiary.
⦁ Manage, lead, develop and support the French Sales Team. Build and maintain a positive and proactive culture with strong performance based team ethic.
⦁ Set goals, assess performance and provide continuous professional training and teamwork.
⦁ Ensure the sales team provides the necessary coverage of the French market and is adequately resourced.
⦁ Work closely with the Managing Director to ensure the company’s profitability grows in line with annual and longer term (5 year) plans. Manage and control the Sales Team budgets.
⦁ Work with Key Account management and Product Management (HQ & local) and producer partners to ensure plans and market commitments are developed and achieved.
⦁ Collect and communicate with Head Office about market trends, customer needs and competition in France.
⦁ Commercial Studies (Business Administration Or Equivalent)
⦁ Commercial Training with Relevant Professional Experience
⦁ Technical Studies (Industrial Engineering or Equivalent)
⦁ Technical Education With Commercial Additional Qualification
⦁ Several years’ experience in sales of engineering polymers and compounds
⦁ Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in managing, growing and developing a business
⦁ Proven experience with demonstrable leadership skills in managing a sales focused team
⦁ Experience in negotiation of prices and conditions, ideally, annual contracts or framework agreements
⦁ Strong Marketing skills desired
⦁ Good product knowledge in the field of commodity and engineering polymers
⦁ Good knowledge of the French market and the application areas of plastics
⦁ Basic knowledge of plastic processing, in particular injection moulding and extrusion
⦁ Sound knowledge of business and SAP basics
⦁ Sales Manager/Director looking for their next challenge and with further future potential

⦁ Based in France
⦁ Fluent in English and French language
