Role Purpose

Your role will be to support customer projects from the early stages of planning, through specification, installation support, monitoring system set-up, after-sales support and training.


Key Accountabilities

  • Assisting customers ahead of new project installations with technical advice and recommendations.
  • Discussing equipment and set up of projects with customers after order placement then handing over the details to the production team.
  • Providing customers with support during installation, usually remotely, but sometimes on-site, which will involve some travel, mainly within Europe.
  • Setting up and amending monitoring diagrams, alerts, user profiles, and calculations for projects.
  • Attending site when required to support customer installations, or to replace faulty equipment.
  • Assisting customers with technical queries and fault reports.
  • Responding to and updating customer support ticket records.
  • Providing training to customers, usually remotely, but sometimes face to face.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience of customer service in an engineering or technical environment. Suitable fields include: structural or geotechnical monitoring, surveying, infrastructure, telecommunications or networks.
  • Fluent German and good English language ability.
  • Dedication to meeting customer needs and excellent customer relations skills.
  • Strong administrative abilities, close attention to detail.
  • Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Proficient with web and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • The role will be based from home and will require some travel in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and sometimes other countries.
