KGaA (0001) Contract Type: Regular Is Full Time?: Yes Onsite/ Remote: Onsite Job ID: 14197 We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Quantitative Genetics and Biostatistics team. You will be responsible for collecting and integrating data from diverse sources, designing efficient data pipelines, and prototype data storage solutions to support our breeding technology applications. This position is to be filled in full-time with a permanent contract and in Einbeck (Lower-Saxony, Germany). Design, develop, and maintain robust data infrastructure to facilitate a smooth flow of information. Collaborate with technical teams to select and implement optimal database systems, ensuring data quality and integrity. Interface with software experts and subject matter experts to drive software architecture and application development. Lead prototype development and collaborate with digital product teams to deploy solutions in productive environments. Establish data governance standards and structures within the breeding technologies teams. Scout and test new technologies for data management and analytics. Engage with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation projects. Build team capacity in data management best practices and provide training as needed. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with several years of relevant professional. Master's degree in computer science or any equivalent field with few years of work experience. Certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate are advantageous. Proficiency in English is required. Proven experience working in multicultural teams and interfacing across multiple departments.
