Are you an experienced SEND teaching assistant looking for a fulfilling role in a wonderful school environment? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a Part-time position as a SEND classroom support assistant at a school in Rubery, starting after Easter.

The school caters to students between the ages of 4 and 11, providing them with the support they need to excel in their education. We are particularly seeking individuals who have had previous experience working with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) students, as this will be an essential aspect of the role.

As a SEND classroom support assistant at this school, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work closely with the school’s dedicated team of educators and support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Support students with ASC in their academic and social development
– Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
– Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
– Provide one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance
– Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the school

Requirements:
– Previous experience working as a SEND teaching assistant, particularly with ASC students
– A passion for making a difference in the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of each student
– A positive and nurturing attitude towards students
