Position Summary
Editas is looking to bring on a passionate individual for a summer Business Development internship (12-16 weeks). Ideal candidates will combine business knowledge with analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.  This role will primarily help to develop a business plan to enable strategic decisions and be used for executive presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Business Development Intern you will be responsible for:
Supporting Corporate Business Development projects relating to CRISPR gene editing and gene therapy.
Collaborate with the BD team to develop and maintain up-to-date status relating to potential licensee’s drug development pipelines, intellectual property positions and commercial launch.
Collect information on potential business partners and key leadership within those organizations.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry news to uncover business development opportunities.
Develop business plan presentations and briefings under guidance of senior team members.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders across the organization, including management, R&D, finance and legal.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an MBA degree
Demonstrated ability to create executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to support multiple projects, deal with short timelines and find creative solutions. 
Able to quickly understand Editas’ business, its key drivers, and issues.
Ability to work within a diverse multicultural and international environment. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Additionally, candidates with the following attributes are preferred:
Experience in life sciences preferred but not required.
