BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a PowerApps Developer. The position will involve a mixture of working from home and any UK and Ireland office location. BAM operates a flexible working policy.
As a Mid to Senior PowerApps Developer with ETL experience, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's digital transformation journey. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft PowerApps and overseeing the ETL processes necessary for integrating and maintaining data across our business systems. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and innovation.
Your mission
• PowerApps Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom business applications using Microsoft PowerApps. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• ETL Processes: Handle ETL tasks for data integration, transformation, and loading between various sources and destinations. Ensure data quality and consistency across systems.
• Data Management: Work with SQL databases, data lakes, and other storage solutions to manage data used within PowerApps. Implement data governance and security measures.
• Application Lifecycle Management: Use best practices for version control, testing, and deployment of PowerApps solutions. Monitor and optimize app performance and user experience.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with other developers, data analysts, and business users. Provide guidance and training on PowerApps and data management best practices.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Offer technical support for PowerApps users. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerApps applications and ETL processes.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest PowerApps features and ETL technologies. Recommend and implement improvements to existing processes and applications.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications and ETL workflows.
Who are we looking for?
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in PowerApps development and 4 years of experience in ETL processes.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform, especially PowerApps and Power Automate.
• Experience with SQL and working knowledge of databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL).
• Proficiency in ETL tools and methodologies, with a solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing principles.
• Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies like Azure, SharePoint, and Office 365 is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
