HV Connection Manager

Are you a proven Connection Manager with 3+ years' experience in the design of HV substations? Are you looking for your next meaningful move to a true global player in the renewable sector in Italy? My client's grid connection team is seeking a suitable candidate to work closely under their Project Management team in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the Grid Connection Works (cable and substation). Ensuring they are on schedule and in compliance with the company's high-quality standards. The successful candidate will focus on Italian projects to be connected to the HV networks.
This role will be based out of my clients Milan office with some visits required to SPV sites across Italy.
What are we looking for?
BSc/MEng in Electrical Engineering (MSc in Electrical is considered an advantage)
Track record (minimum 3 years) in the design of HV substations (renewables experience considered an advantage)
Knowledge of AUTOCAD
Knowledge of power system simulation software (PowerFactory, PSS®E, PSS®SINCAL, Etap,…) is considered an advantage
Fluency in Italian & EnglishWhat is in it for you?
Follow-up of the connection process
Preparation of Technical Specifications for Tenders
Develop effective relationships with potential contractors, suppliers, consultants.
Qualification of contractors, suppliers, consultants
Evaluation of offers and follow-up in the tendering process.
Support for the preparation of contracts to ensure that works will be executed in accordance with company requirements.
Supervision of PQ studies
Design review of the Engineering from EPC/subcontractors
Critical analysis of the construction schedule
Review of Quality Control Plan and Inspection Points Program of EPC/subcontractors
Preliminary site surveys and Audits during construction
General supervision of Grid Connection Works and Coordination with Project Managers and Site Engineers
